Last week I had to make a Sympathy card. How do you even begin to make a card for parents who have just lost their 19 year old daughter in a tragic accident? We've all heard that God speaks in mysterious ways and obviously He's not beyond using the Internet. The answer to my prayer was Becca Feeken. Both her work and her words speak to the soul. Reading her blog and seeing her incredible designs inspires my creativity, gladdens my heart and fills me with the peace and serenity that flows through her from God. My card is certainly not in the same league as her but her spirit helped to guide me and for that I am grateful.
Supplies: Cardstock & ink - Stampin Up & Ranger Distress Ink; Rose stamps & Toile Background - StampinUp; Sentiment - Inkadinkado?; Fern punch - Martha Stewart; Spellbinders Nestabilities and Lace Border; Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
Ooops! Realized the sentiment belongs to the Simply Said set from Melissa Frances.

Katie,
What a beautiful card How sad for the parents. Such a senseless tragedy.
BTW I love Becca's work too. She is a daily inspiration.
Cheers!

Katie -
YOU are a true artist, and an inspiration to us all.
My heart goes out to those parents. Someone once told me that losing a child is the purest form of Hell. My prayers are with them. God will be evident to them at this horrible time through friends - through you.
